Thanks mate, I recently acquired a very tidy AU series 3 xl Ute, same problem with the passenger side door, spoke to a couple of auto electricians but neither were interested in the job, one however was a decent bloke and he told me to get a new actuator and do it yourself, your video made that seem much more possible 😂

I owned a stock '02 TJ for many years. The auto was rubbish, but the stock 154 kW V6 was lovely, just very thirsty around town (15.1 l/100 was typical). It ended up rusting out through the heater box and leaking badly every time it rained... so keep any leaves clear of the ventilation air intakes!

Thanks for the info. I installed both last Friday and what a difference!!! I have been using an FM receiver for hands-free and Bluetooth audio. Usually had to have volume at 20, now have it at 6 or 7 for same volume but with much better clarity. I also opted for the module with microphone so that I still have hands-free. Love the videos! Keep up the Great work. BTW I drive 03 XR8 sedan.

I got my au falcon from my mum a little bit ago, I've turned it into my project car and I'm gonna get it registered for my p plates, I just got a new stereo and tested out what I thought was the oem speakers, I don't think they're oem.. they're really good sounding and I can turn the stereo up super loud and there's not rattles or anything that would make it sound bad, my mum got the car about 4 years ago and they never mentioned it having aftermarket speakers

Love the Territory. We bought an 2016 SZII last year. We got the diesel due to the long country drives we do (it's 5.5 hour drive to visit the kids). It had an excellent service history and we've replaced the belts at 170k. It hasn't missed a beat in the last 12 months. Ours is a 7 seater (a must with the grand kids). With the seats folded down it has the same load space as the 5 seater. It is so much more comfortable than the BA XR6 to drive. I do miss the poke when overtaking but it does tow better which is more important to us. Hope you're still loving the Terry.

The standard units soldering quality is straight trash. Do enough KMs on rough roads and say goodbye to the drivers door speaker working, followed by the whole unit itself, leaving you with no air con, no demister, no radio. My advice, save up and get a double din whacked into the vehicle by a professional installer that can ensure everything functions proper including the steering wheel controls. If it takes 10 seconds to come on, who cares - you've got to let the car warm up a bit before driving anyways.

Obviously a manual since harmonic balancer is NOT turning at same time as mine is. Thats the ONLY reason came here! Trying to figure out how to tighten again. GRR! Why do these channels always assume people have a MANUAL vehicle??????

Hey mate loved the video but I just wanted to let you know on some news that I found out from ford when I bought the same territory in 2016 and it is that the gearbox in the 2wd petrol Barra tezza’s have some American gearbox in them and the awd diesel ones have a copied version of the zf6 gearbox I got so disappointed when I heard this and I just thought that would be some helpful news for you cheers and beers mate 🍻

My au has had its whole exhaust fall out while going over a cattle grid... not very fun..

My uncle had one of these, he was a Ford man all his life, we were very much a Holden family but this was probably the best looking car inside and outside at the time. He had no end of electrical problems with the car, always getting some warning light fixed which was something you didnt need to worry about on previous models. He only owned the car for a couple of years and went back to the simpler Fairmont after that. If not for the dodgy electrical system the car may have been something special, the ride and comfort levels were pretty good for that era, only the really super expensive cars like Merc and Jag had the leather interiors, Ford was kind of cheap and plasticky but super comfortable just the same.

I almost purchased a Territory on the weekend in the 2.7 diesel format as we wanted something with AWD. After reading some horror reviews (dual timing belts) and not being able to find something with a decent service history, we opted for a 2014 Subaru Forester XT (Petrol Turbo). 9.4L/100 and well maintained. From what I know, the petrol version was only available in RWD so made sense for us getting the Forester.

It's such a stupid design from Ford Australia. The lack of quality across the whole EF series onwards is just shameful. The repairs don't last long, especially if you have kids or adults who are rough. A company is now manufacturing brand new replacements for the front doors, we're just waiting on the release of the back door kits now. Hopefully, it's not too much longer.

Little small caveats i'm not sure you were aware of. SX & SY Territory's were based on the EA169 platform SZ Territory actually moved over to the E8 (FG) platform in the major redesign & shared little in common with the predecessor, structural improvements were the most notable, suspension issues were more or less substantially resolved over the predecessor, etc.

man my 2010 g6e has terrible brakes had fluid replaced front rotors machined good pads but u have to really push the pedal in to get it to pull up my 20 year old rodeo brakes better

I don’t know why fords do this I think my xd was the only car I never replaced the rotors My last car fg Ute it started at 60k so I replaced them at 80 and the new ones lasted about 30 k before they started shaking The Colorado I have been driving now and has 220 k still on origin brakes I did buy rotors for it when it was at 160 but still on the shelf

4 ways to measure /adjust booster pin to master cyl clearance 1/inexpensive tool ..2/ vernier depth measure ment 3/ wind booster rod out till master rides on it then backoff the adjustment ...4/ place washers between master and booster bolts

Caliper slide pins need inspection for wear and lubrication ,, lube with silver grade anti sieze or ceramic grease .... INSPECT caliper slide pin bores ,, these can be roughly machined and catch the slide pin. remedy = hone out the bores .

Did these at least one a week to fix the problem. BUT they did come back sometimes and need more adjustment to the point that you run out of adjustment. If you look at the place of manufacture of the booster and master cylinder it tells you the problem. AU and back made in AUSTRALIA by PBR BA on made in Thailand. Rubber expansion/ stretch I think is the problem.
